Training
Here are a few tips and some reading that I think would be helpful. If your are serious about training your dog for hunting and/or field work you should join a club that provides training and is connected with hosting or providing contacts for hunt test and/or field trials. Though I was able to get a lot of info from books and videos there is so much more to training than anything you could possibly get alone. You should have interaction with other people who share the same love for this breed as you do.

We all started somewhere and most of us still  make mistakes it is a learning process, but I have learned much from going to events, training days and just talking with people and seeing how they  handle their dogs.  If you chose to have your dog trained by a professional, I still think most people will benefit from a good club.  I know I have.

This is a short list of media that I think you will find helpful if you get a pup or a started dog.
